In the past, Cork ETB School of Music supported some of its own students to attend Meitheal by means of partial scholarships and, so if you are with them, or any other such music education body, an approach might pay dividend!
Bursaries to summer schools such as Meitheal is a progressive initiative which may well be adopted more frequently in time to come by bodies such as County Arts offices who wish to promote excellence in trad performance in their areas. Interested candidates should contact their local Co. Council Arts Office and make a pitch for a bursary.
